New Contest!!

The winner has been chosen and posted here.

One of the online charity crafting groups I belong to, Crafting 4 A Cause, has a store that members contribute craft supplies, hand crafted items and more, to be put up for sale to earn money to buy propane for the families on the Pine Ridge Reservation. This contest is a very transparent ploy to bring attention to that store. The prize will be a $5 "gift certificate" to the Crafting for a Cause store. To enter all you have to do is browse through the store and tell me in a comment to this post what you liked the most or what caught your attention. On January 3rd I will choose one entry to win the "gift certificate".

Great site Deb, and for a great cause.

I enjoyed looking at the more vintage pattern books. Nice bit of nostalgia there.

I don't need an entry to the contest, but wanted to let you know I stopped by. Great job!

Oh I forgot to look at the top menu. I love the pineapple angels.

I like how you offer different supplies like different circuliar needles and beginner kits. Pictures are very clear and eye catching for children to want as well.Wow I really like the selections on the jewelry and fibers. You have a variety of good produces there. I wish the best that a goal is met thru all your work and everyone elses.

Hi - You did a great job with the store!

I loved looking and the handmade items and the crochet books.

I hope you have a huge success with this too.

Somewhere down the line, I may have some things I can send - mostly crochet books - but you never know. I will get in touch with you again when I have had time to go through my things.

I browsed the store and found that the prices are very reasonable which is so important during these economic times. I'll stop by and check it out often because of the low prices.

The cloisonne necklaces are beautiful. This is such a worthy cause, I hope lots of people discover this store to shop and donate.

Hmm I didn't see the necklaces. The jewelry link didn't work for me. I'll have to go try it in IE. However, the sewing link did work and I picked up a couple bibs for a gift. I also liked those pineapple angels! Couple of the links had coming soon so anxious to see what that will hold. :-)

I love angels so I think my favorite is the Pineapple Angels (crochet). I also liked the orange "Ginie Bottle Earrings".

Great contest! Let's see... I would probably go for the "I Taught Myself to Crochet" booklet. Then either the "Leisure Arts 1998 Country Afghans", or the "Crochet Pillow Patterns".

My favorite was the jewelry - beautiful work. And then the books/booklets - something for every crafter.

I am going to buy a piece of jewelry - just have to figure out which one - like them all.

Thanks for the link to the site - and of course your contest. But most of all the idea that I can get something I like from a crafter and help others is a really nice thing.

What a wonderful idea! Great items for a great cause. I wouldn't mind donating a few things to the store myself.

The Angel Awareness Pins caught my eye, they're very pretty and can be bought in bulk for lots of different needs. I think they would be good to have on hand just to cheer people up. They seem so hopeful.

Fabulous cause!

I particularly fell in love with the crocheted dog stocking. So much so, I'm considering purchasing it for my other half for her Yule gift next year.

Very nice store, great cause. I love the hand crocheted angels, and I like the whole concept of the site, its purpose, and that the members donate so many items to be sold.

I really enjoyed this entire site and think it's existence is wonderful. I especially liked the variety of items offered under each heading. If you choose me as a winner of this contest I'd like to donate the $5 back to the cause.
Thank you for hosting this contest.

I looked at a lot. All the crochet stuff, the jewelry, etc. You know you aren't playing fair--I had to order two of the crochet booklets. LOL
A learn to crochet book for step-granddaughter who is wanting to learn and has no access to internet and another of kitchen items to make. I'll have to check back again in the future.
Good deals even if there wasn't a contest going on.
Thanks for the link.

i enjoyed visiting the site and store. thanks for bringing it to my attention - and in an ingenious way! i make a lot of jewelry myself, but i'm especially impressed with the practicality of kim petty's bracelets which are made to fit a variety of wrist sizes. i have very large wrists - must wear a man's watch - but my daughter has tiny wrists - needs child sizes. that's one reason i began making jewelry myself - before i learned to crochet. thanks for this, deb.

Hi Deb,
I looked over the store. You've done a very nice job on the webpage. I was sorry to see there weren't even more things offered and decided when I go through my books and thin down I would like to send them to your organization so you can sell them. I thought the hand crafted items were lovely, you have all done a great job with them...and they were reasonably priced as well. I was wondering if the store was intending to sell yarns.

Very nice job on the site. I think I have some pattern books from olden days I could donate. Need more crochet stitch markers, and would like to see more jewelry (note the correct spelling for your header).
